A House Husbands Guide To Unemployment

The second installment of this series deals with creativity!

I encourage you to be as creative as you can be. For me that has basically revolved around my inner-head-noodle always wriggling around new ideas. Anywhere from new business ideas, business ideas for existing companies (maybe your business is one of them, maybe you should give me a job) and the fun stuff like working on impressions, characters and comedy ideas in general.

My most exciting part is the impressions/character voices as my real dream job is to be a cartoon character voice. I have recently started working on Kermit the Frog, Raymond Barone and have been trying to evolve my Cleveland as well as a couple other random voices. It is just so much fun to do! It brings out the kid in you and you can't even help but smile when you do it.

If you don't do silly stuff like this you will surely go crazy!

If you have any impressions you do or suggestions for me please comment!

New Interest

I have been increasingly disappointed with what people are calling music lately, especially the crap that gets rolled on the radio waves. Pop music stations can go forget themselves because pop music is just cornball BS where someone just repeats something and then there is the chorus which is repeated through the song and that is how you make a pop song! The music being played on the "hard rock" channels are full of Nickleback, Chris Daughtry and cry baby punk/emo crap. My old favorite was the classic rock stations but there isn't a good one I can find in the new area. So this lead me to a search of something I could stand to listen to, and to my very big surprise NPR is what I landed on.

Yes it is just talking, so there is very little music but it at least has some interesting information and stories with some original content. It has everything music doesn't anymore except the "instruments" (which are mostly done on computers anymore) and some train wreck singing a song she didn't write. It took a little getting used to but I find it much more enjoyable than the other crap on the radio especially on a short drive, it definitely beats hearing the same 4 songs over and over again.

Check it out if you would like, it is a nice portal to some information you might not get watching the news (not talking about stupid turkeys attacking people). National Public Radio doesn't even have the billions of commercials regular radio has!

Just tried something out and it was wonderful.

Triple Decker PBJ with sliced bananas!

What you need: half a banana cut up into small slices, 3 pieces of bread, peanut butter, strawberry jelly.

Peanut butter goes on the outer pieces of bread and jelly on both sides of the middle piece, the banana slices go on the peanut butter...assemble and eat!!
